that's why you can't regret
what you went through
but rather be thankful
for all the lessons
it taught you
remember!
it is what it is
so move on and learn from it

Chapi Dev Talks
Good morning my people π, I think reading book is so underrated now a days. People think books are outdated so they advice other to not read books. I think differently in this matter. I think books are still the best way to learn stuff. Even courseβ¦
i talk about this before. and i will say it again
Reading books is a waste of time!
Before you respond, let me explain why I've come to this conclusion. There was a time when I read books about fiction, life tips, and more. But what's the point if I don't apply those lessons in the real world? All that time spent is essentially for nothing. That's why I consider reading books a waste of time.
Here's another example: a friend recommended that I read a book on clean coding.
Me: "Oh really, what's it about?"
Friend: "It's about how to write clean code and it's really useful, etc."
Me: "Like how?"
Friend: "Well, it's about... umm... writing self-explanatory code, huuuu.... blah, blah."
The truth is, he struggles to remember and can't explain well what he reads, and that's our common problem.
Our brains are filled with a lot of garbage, and we don't even have time to retain what we learn.
When it comes to coding or programming, yes, we read documentation and understand the concepts.
However, if we don't apply that knowledge, it's as if we've wasted our time, just like any other knowledge.
Maybe you understand where I'm going from.
For me, action is more important, and I learn best through trial and error. I'm not saying you shouldn't read, but if you don't apply what you learn, then you've wasted your time.
Some people argue that you should read good books. Well, consider "Rich Dad Poor Dad," one of the best-selling books with over 30 million copies sold. Yet, I doubt even 1% of readers achieved financial freedom.
In conclusion, if you can't explain what you've gained from a book or apply it to your life, then you've definitely wasted your time.
Enjoy your time!

it tells you that you are not dead yet.

yesterday, i was chatting with my old friend about old-school c++ stuff from our uni days.
remember those pyramid patterns we used to code? good times, huh?
so here's the deal: drop a code snippet in the comments section to print one of the patterns from the image. you're not bound to a specific language; use anything that works (except html).

i know a lot of you keep asking me, "does tech pay well?"
and yeah, it can. but is that all that matters?
if you're all about the cash, maybe tech isn't your thing. find something that pays well and makes you happy.
but if you're in it for the love of tech, then we're in this together. let's support each other and make it work.
so, let's focus on enjoying our work and helping each other out. that's where the real fulfillment lies.
let's do this together!

why chasing perfection kills progress
ever find yourself staring at a blank screen, paralyzed by the fear of not getting it perfect on the first try?
it's a common trap we fall into. we want our code, our work, our creations to be flawless from the get-go.
but the reality is pursuit of perfection often leaves us stuck, demotivated, and going nowhere fast.
so stop chasing perfection from the start. instead, focus on getting things to work, even if they're a bit messy at first.
write that code, build that project, take that first step β and worry about refining and polishing later.
progress over perfection, my friends.

be the champions of wasting time!
today am goanna give you a tips on how to procrastinate like a boss,
1) start your day with a social media check
- as soon as you wake up, reach for your phone, and dive headfirst into the endless abyss of social media feeds. ah, the sweet dopamine rush as you scroll through memes, cat videos, and status updates. starting your day this way sets the tone for glorious procrastination ahead.
2) embrace the illusion of multitasking
-now, here's a little trick to trick yourself into feeling productive without actually doing much. open multiple tabs or apps, switch between them every few minutes, and voila! you're multitasking! sure, you might not be making any real progress, but at least you'll feel busy, right? it's all about perception, my friends π
3) banish productivity apps from your existance
this one's a game-changer. delete those pesky to-do list apps and any other productivity tools from your device. trust me, they're just reminders of all the things you're not doing. plus, breaking this rule is the ultimate test. if you find yourself reinstalling those apps, you might accidentally stumble into productivity land. and we can't have that now, can we?
so, my fellow procrastinators, go forth and waste time like never before! just remember, breaking these rules may inadvertently lead you down the path of productivity, and we wouldn't want that, would we?π€
