🚨 Critical Vulnerability in Zcash Orchard Has Been Urgently Patched

A soundness bug that has existed since 2022 in the Orchard shielded pool could allow the creation of unlimited fake ZEC, nearly impossible to detect due to its privacy features.

Discovered by: Security researcher Taylor Hornby using Claude Opus 4.8 (May 29, 2026). He built a complete working exploit in a short time.

🇺🇸 U.S. CPI Report Will Be Released Tonight!

⏰ Time: 12:30 PM UTC, the United States will publish its latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation data.

📉 Last month, CPI unexpectedly rose to 3.8%, above the 3.7% forecast, triggering a sharp market reversal and a wave of selling pressure that has persisted until now.

📊 Market expectations for this month:
🖤 Headline CPI: expected to rise from 3.8% to 4.2%
🖤 Core CPI: expected to increase from 2.8% to 2.9%

📌 Scenario 1: CPI comes in at 4.2% or higher

If inflation continues to run hotter than expected, it would mark the highest reading since April 2023. Combined with last week's strong Non-Farm Payrolls report, investors may become increasingly concerned that the Fed will keep interest rates higher for longer, or even consider further rate hikes.

📌 Scenario 2: CPI comes in below 4.2%

A softer-than-expected inflation reading would ease pressure on the Fed, strengthen expectations for a less restrictive monetary policy stance, and provide support for risk assets such as stocks and cryptocurrencies.

🎯 This will be the final inflation report before next week's FOMC meeting — the first meeting chaired by new Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh.

👉 Markets are currently pricing in a 98.2% probability that the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged at the upcoming meeting. However, many investors still expect the Fed could raise rates later this year, a view that stands in sharp contrast to President Trump's repeated calls for lower interest rates.
