What has kept this case in the public eye for so many years?
The reason lies in its dual nature. The first aspect is the crime itself: the horrifying accounts of abuse, the private island that became a prison, and the numerous young victims.
However, the second aspect carries deeper significance. It is the story of systemic enablement. Why was the initial police report dismissed? How did a person accused of such crimes serve only 13 months under unusually lenient conditions? And why did his network of powerful people remain in the shadows for so long?
These documents are more than a list of names. They serve as evidence of mechanisms that too often prioritize the protection of power and wealth over the pursuit of truth. They compel us to confront difficult questions about justice, privilege, and the uneven application of accountability.

On February 8, 2026, Bad Bunny turned the Super Bowl stage into a Puerto Rican neighborhood. The show was full of symbolism. And that symbolism was a political gesture.
He honored farm workers in the sugarcane fields. He celebrated Puerto Rican music with traditional panderos and cuatros. He staged a real wedding to show that community is built on love. He handed his real Grammy to a 5-year-old boy on stage, a symbol of the child detained by ICE. Then he named every Latin American country and ended with "USA" and "Puerto Rico."
This was a reminder: America is a nation of immigrants.
At the end of the show, he held up a football with the words: "Together We Are America." Then he spiked it. And the screen showed his final message to the world:
The show proved once again : everything is political.
May the final message become a creed for every person in the worldπ π
