One of the several ways to use @BabelgramBot is to set the auto translation feature and forward messages to be translated to the bot.

Yesterday, we finalized the software migration from python-telegram-bot to Telethon. python-telegram-bot is a Python framework for implementing Telegram bots that has been very useful for the last 5 years of @BabelgramBot. However, to improve the features of Babelgram, a more powerful library is required, and that's why we migrated the entire code base to Telethon, a library that doesn't rely on the Telegram Bot API, allowing to implement more complex features.
This migration should improve the performance of the bot, making everything way faster than it was before. And fasten the implementation of new features in the months to come.
However, there might still be a few a few bugs hanging around. If you happen to find something that doesn't look right, don't be shy! Please report it in the Community Group (link in the description)

When a user subscribes with a premium plan to @BabelgramBot, and after some time decides to cancel their subscription they used to have to join the Community group or send an email to make that cancellation effective.
We understand that some users don't want to go through that, so we have implemented the unsubscribe command. This command will cancel your existing subscription, if you have any, without needing to speak with anyone.
Nonetheless, we'd love to read your feedback. So always feel free to join the community group (link in the description) and tell us what you like or don't like from the bot!

The information that we store from a translation is:

* Number of characters in the original text sent to the bot (to calculate pricing)
* If using the Google Cloud Translation Engine (used by Premium users)
* user_id and chat_id (internal IDs of the database)

Happy holidays! Tonight we release the beta version of the audio transcription system for our premium users to test first.
You can send voice notes and the bot will transcribe the note to text and translate it automatically to the language of your choice if you have the autotranslation setting set for that chat.
Remember is still a beta and we'll likely make changes to the system. The quality may be still be a bit rough as we are using a limited AI model but we think is good enough to be useful! π
You can become a premium user at only $1 per month. In two days the subscription will increase in price for only for future subscribers to cover the costs of the AI system we are using to transcript the audio notes.
