Bible Text: Psalm 7: 8-17

*A PRAYER FOR JUSTICE*

Let the Lord judge the peoples, vindicate me oh Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, oh Most High, *Psalm 7: 8, NIV*

Sequel to our devotion yesterday, where the Preacher was lamenting about lack of justice among the people, it is amazing that the Church of God is not an exception. The psalmist decided to pray for justice from the One and only Judge whose standard and integrity cannot be compromised. Many innocent people have been unjustly reprimanded for lack of proper judgment. He prayed that God should judge the people including himself so that the righteous will not continue to suffer and the wicked go scot-free. The righteous Judge has His instrument of justice in place and at the appropriate time, He will act.
Believers must be active in establishing justice, equity and fairness in the society that has lost godly virtues. You should pray for true justice to be established in our land. It can begin with you. Ask yourself, in what ways am I perverting justice? Are you fair to your parents, siblings, in your school, place of work or even at home? Examine yourself, pray, act justly and defend the weak in all areas of life, for there is no secret that will not be exposed. God will bring everything to judgment.

*Insight:* Justice brings peace to the society. Embrace justice.

*Prayer:* God,pleasecomfort me, and I will be comforted.

*RBT Passage:* Matthew 10-11
