🇬🇧 The UK just froze $13.6 MILLION sitting in the Premier League’s own bank account
The money came from Sorare, the Messi-backed crypto fantasy football card game once worth $4.3 BILLION. It was the first payment of a $163 MILLION sponsorship deal.
The National Crime Agency got a court order to lock the funds while it checks where the money came from.
The Premier League itself isn’t accused of anything - it just happens to be holding it, and it’s fighting the order..
Sorare is separately being prosecuted for running gambling without a licence. It denies being a gambling product and says it’s not under investigation.

⚠️ 270 Anonymous Numbers Stolen at Gunpoint
A little less than a day ago, someone sold 270 numbers on Marketapp below the floor price for $2,000 each, for a total of $540,000.
Later, a Chinese investor claimed that armed men broke into his friend’s house, beat him up, and forced him to sell all of his numbers and transfer the money from the sales to them, which is why the owner ended up selling those numbers way below floor price.

Looks like victim was holding ETH for a few months and decided to move full amount to an address he normally uses. First transfer of 1 $ETH went through correctly as always.
But the poisoning bot started spamming immediately and the rest, 16.97 $ETH, went to a fake address.
This attack is by far the biggest of all his successful ones.

🇲🇽 JUST IN: Mexican musician and his pregnant wife, young daughter and maid were murdered in Mexico for $BTC
This week Mexican musician Jonathan Meléndez, his pregnant wife, young daughter, and housemaid were tragically murdered in Atizapán.
Authorities quickly arrested the suspects, which notably included an associate who was explicitly aware of Meléndez's Bitcoin holdings.
It highlights the most fatal vulnerability in self-custody: OpSec failure. If the wrong people know what you hold, you become a target.
