Birth choices are not black and white. I think people tend to dislike multi-level decision making. as it can be overwhelming. It makes it easier to hand over your birth and give responsibility to care providers. You have every right to do so if you choose! However if you want an empowered birth, taking responsibility for your decisions is an incredibly empowering experience. No one can promise you a perfect birth, no one can promise you it will be traumatic either! There are risks in any birth scenario. What feels right to you? If you close your eyes and feel scared at the thought of homebirth, I would suggest you need to give birth where you feel safe. None of our birth practitioners provide clinical care. They provide emotional and practical support. They can help you to navigate the system and provide information for you to make informed decisions. Please note, anyone in our directory is NOT responsible for how you navigate your medical care.
