CALL FOR DIGITAL & IMMERSIVE WORKS (VR, AR, MR)
The 27th Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) will take place from 5 to 14 November 2021. The Festival hosts five competitions: feature films, TV series and immersive works and seven out-of-competition and tribute sections.
Creators, producers and distributors are invited to submit their digital and immersive works (in virtual, augmented and mixed reality) for GIFF’s 2021 festival. The works submitted will be considered by the Festival’s curators who will select those that will feature in the 2021 program (Nov. 5-14, 2021).
Submission on MyGIFF online platform for digital and XR works will be open from May to August 2021.

Open Call:SCHAUFLER RESIDENCY
Artists have until May 10, 2021 to apply with concepts for projects to be completed in 2022 at TU Dresden in the Schaufler Lab TU Dresden. Projects should focus on the interface between art and science, explicitly artistic intelligence and its implications for society and the culture of objects.
The selection of the artists is made by the the Residency´s selection committee. By accepting an artistic proposal, we invite the chosen artist to develop and realize the project in cooperation with scientists and scholars from TUD. Lectures, talks and workshops within the framework of the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden as well as a guest seminar at the Academy of Fine Arts Dresden are part of the residency.

Natural, Artificial and Digital Landscapes - Workshop by Fragmentin
Fragmentin will remotely run a one day workshop on the topic of natural, artificial and digital landscapes. The artist trio will explain to the participants the process behind the production of the map “Val d’Arcadia”: from the concept/inspiration to getting the data from Swisstopo and finally transforming it for the final output through the open-source software “Processing”.
The workshop, hosted by @cairotronica, is an introduction to how to create fictional maps using digital tools. In that context, the participants will be invited to imagine/sketch a fictional landscape in the form of cartography based on data sets of their choice.

5 international producers have composed in the past months 5 sound designs using the sounds offered by the open source portal of HER the sound of Puglia.
Through @ApuliaCenterArtTechnology, 5 artistic projects will be selected to be carried out in residence. 5 visual artists who will be offered the opportunity to be hosted in the equipped spaces of the MAT urban laboratory for 5 days to be agreed between June 1st and July 30th, which will be agreed following the selection.

Dysonwomackart are accepting proposals for digital media art to be included in a collection of public artworks for the State of California.

The Media Wall RFP is open for artists to propose new or existing artworks to be shown on the expansive media wall located in the main lobby of the CNRA building.
