Zsolnay Light Festival is the first and only festival of light in the country. At the event, considered unique in Central Europe, after nightfall, the spatial-specific works of light-art of domestic and foreign artists amaze visitors in the cozy streets, squares, inner gardens, and church facades of Pécs. Familiar nooks, ancient and modern buildings, green parks, and foliage are dressed up in casual light costumes woven of millions of pixels.

BBBANK NEWCOMER PROJECTION MAPPING PRIZE 2022
This international award is endowed by the BBBank, founded and with its headquarters in Karlsruhe, to celebrate the bank’s centenary. The Grand Prize is 10,000 Euro (plus production costs of up to 30,000 Euro) and the winner will be selected from among the entries submitted by a high-profile jury chaired by Peter Weibel, Chairman and CEO of the ZKM - Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe. The prize-winning concept will be produced and presented as a new artwork at the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe 2022, The second and third prizes are 5,000 Euro and 2,000 Euro, respectively. All the winners will receive their prizes at an awards ceremony.
Entries will be judged on the basis of a storyboard and a 5-second media check clip of a new art production for the SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELE Karlsruhe.

The program offers artists and artist collectives financial and in-kind support for new projects, with the help of expert partners from the fields of science, technology, and engineering.
Art + Technology Lab grants are open to individuals and collectives located anywhere in the world. Grants may provide financial support of up to $50,000 per project to cover artist fees and direct costs, including materials.

OPEN CALL: STUDIO RESIDENCIES AT BEK
BEK's studios and spaces are open for short term project residencies. If you are working on an art project involving sound, moving image or electronics you are welcome to apply for a residency in their studios for a period of 2-4 weeks.
The residencies are open to professional artists and prioritized projects that are experimental in their use of technology, or interrogate technology´s relationship to art and society. BEK offers its facilities and equipment, and expect artists to work independently. However, Studio Residents are also able to apply for advice sessions with their in-house experts to help with specific project needs.
To be noted, open call provides access to production facilities only, and do not cover travel, accommodation or project costs.
