Example:

در زبان انگلیسی، به تاب (وسیله‌ای که در پارک‌ها برای بازی استفاده می‌شود) swing گفته می‌شود.

🟠 مثال‌:

The children are playing on the swing.
بچه‌ها روی تاب بازی می‌کنند.


اما تاب دادن کسی روی تاب، push the swing یا give a push است.

🪬 "You jinxed me!" 🪬

تا حالا شده یه نفر یه چیز خوب بگه و دقیقاً برعکسش اتفاق بیفته؟ مثلاً بگه:

"وااای تو هیچ‌وقت مریض نمی‌شی!"
و چند ساعت بعد تو تب کنی و مریض شی؟
اون وقت می‌تونی بگی:

You jinxed me!
یعنی: چشمم زدی! / تو باعث شدی بدشانسی بیارم!


چند تا اصطلاح کاربردی دیگه هم داریم:

یعنی چیزی رو با گفتنش خراب کردن
