Army Captain Rebecca Lobach flew her Blackhawk helicopter into American Airlines flight 5342. Lobach was performing a flight evaluation under the supervision of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Eaves, an instructor pilot. Her instructor told her to turn left to avoid incoming air traffic. She did not, and 67 people died. 15 seconds elapsed from the time her instructor told her to turn left and her impact into the passenger aircraft. He had time to take control of their helicopter from her.

The crash was her instructor’s fault. We understand this is an unpopular take, but he was in charge. He should have told her “Ma’am, I am taking control of this helicopter. You refused to turn and almost got us all killed. You have failed this evaluation and we are returning to base”.

But he didn’t.

Therein lies the flaw many modern men possess. Modern men avoid conflict in a professional setting and especially when that professional setting involves conflict with a woman. It’s understandable. Men don’t want the crying, the drama, the complaints to superiors, the sexual harassment allegations, the “he’s just doing this because I’m a woman” bullshit, the follow-on investigations and the passive-aggressive behavior he will have to tolerate from her for the rest of the time they work together. It’s not worth it. The conflict avoidance mentality makes you a beta in the office, but it keeps you employed so until very recently your lack of self-respect wasn’t fatal to others. The problem is, women aren’t just in the office anymore. Now they are your police partner on patrol. They are riding the fire engine with you. They are in your platoon. They are flying the helicopter you’re evaluating.

While a case can certainly be made that they don’t belong in these career fields the reality is, they are there and unlikely to be leaving anytime soon. Women like these chose to enter the world of men. With that choice comes the necessity of being talked to like a man when the circumstances warrant it. If you find yourself in a situation where telling a woman in no uncertain what she MUST DO will save lives, you are duty bound to do so. The likelihood of her filing a complaint is high. It’s also a better outcome than 67 people dying in a fireball.

We have rules regarding children and they are absolute. These rules involve preserving a child’s innocence and interacting with them on an age appropriate level. Using profanity on a playground in front of a five year old (if in fact he was five), especially a five year old that isn’t your child violates these rules. If the child was caught stealing your belongings take it up with his parents. If they aren’t present and a five year old is at an inner-city playground alone, call the police.

That’s all the “N-word” is. It’s profanity. Honestly, it’s not even top-tier profanity. Once the situation escalated to doxxing it became about something else entirely. Doxxing utilizes a standard Soviet tactic, punish one and in doing so educate thousands. Show the masses what happens to them if they commit the same infraction. If Shiloh Hendrix caught this kid stealing out of her bag and said “Hey! Stop it you little shit!” then you would have never known her name. The level of offense is the same, profanity in front of a child. However, because she used “the N-word” she must become homeless, have her and her children’s lives threatened and as a result you will learn that if you ever do this, the same thing will happen to you. This is not about racism. You can be publicly racist to a white person and once the clip goes viral not only is it acceptable, it is encouraged. It’s about control. The same people clutching their pearls cheered when a white kid was stabbed to death and his black attacker received the same amount of money Shiloh Hendrix did. They wouldn’t blink an eye if a man in drag wearing a leather thong shook his ass at this same five year old. They built statues to a career criminal who died of a fentanyl overdose and transported his body to three separate funerals in a golden casket. Certain groups in our society have been granted special status and if you publicly display disrespect to them you will be disproportionately punished. Preserving their special status requires control. This level of control has been amplified since social media first saw widespread use and is now the established norm. To be successful, this Soviet tactic must play itself out in the same way and end in the same result every single time. If just once the intended target escapes punishment, or even worse is financially rewarded, then the entire system is at risk of breaking down.
