Well this isn’t a surprise for a lot of us, but the only thing that was holding up many CIA documents from being released a long time ago, was that they wanted mentions of Israel redacted out of them. JFK was demanding oversight and inspections into their nuclear program right before he was assassinated. After he was conveniently killed, they eventually gained nuclear capabilities and then used them to hold the threat of nuclear world annihilation over our heads… all the way up until the current day. They call this “The Sampson Option”
