The 2026 Rolls-Royce Ghost Black Badge is a 5,800-pound argument that real luxury has nothing to do with sparkle and everything to do with obsessive craftsmanship.

The Ghost lives in the middle of the modern Rolls-Royce range. Above it is the Phantom, the proper chauffeur-driven flagship; alongside it sits the all-electric Spectre coupe and the Cullinan SUV. The Ghost was conceived in 2009 as the more accessible Rolls, the one for owners who liked to drive rather than be driven. Now in its second generation with the Series II refresh.

Black Badge is Rolls-Royce’s permission slip to itself to build something darker and more aggressive: black chrome where there would normally be polished silver, more horsepower, retuned suspension, a meaner exhaust note. The company says Black Badge cars now make up roughly a quarter of total sales. There’s a real customer for the idea of a Rolls that growls a little, and Goodwood has noticed.
