❗️Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that President Vladimir Putin’s actions regarding Ukraine were necessary and correct, emphasizing that Russia must achieve the goals of its special military operation.
He accused Ukraine of fostering Nazism and claimed all diplomatic efforts by Putin had been rejected, justifying the military intervention.
Peskov reiterated that Russia remains open to negotiations without preconditions, unlike Kiev, which insists on them. He highlighted restored Russia–US dialogue and expressed hope for American efforts to bring peace.
While Russia prefers a peaceful resolution, it insists on securing national interests. Moscow expects peace talks with Ukraine directly, not through the US.
