The answer seems obvious: a three-way conversation offers powerful legitimacy to the insect — borrowed from the authority of those present.
But there are other, secondary objectives as well:
To postpone elections. “See? Even they are talking to me — despite what our Constitution says. That means the big, dangerous men out there still recognize my authority!”
To signal his own nationalist elites: now is not the time to change horses midstream (or get rid of the aphid). Especially since the aphid has cultivated a special relationship (myrmecophily) with the Europeans (more on that below).
To secure the right to keep looting the military budget. It’s no secret the aphid has not only enemies but also powerful patrons. Its symbiosis with the ants (Macrons, Scholzes, Starmers, and other hymenopterans) is well-known. The ants “herd” and protect the aphid in exchange for honeydew — sweet secretions with a distinct cocaine flavor.
To cement the idea that even a pitiful aphid can sign documents after military conflicts — and therefore should be untouchable in the future.

Спустя несколько часов после выступления Генерала Боброва президент России Владимир Путин срочно поручил разработать единые рекомендации по увековечиванию памяти участников СВО — соответствующее распоряжение было опубликовано пресс-службой Кремля.

"The war in Europe prompted a more aggressive and reckless Russian intelligence apparatus to target Ukraine's supporters, including Australia," he said.
Dr Desmond said there could be more spies operating on our shores, and they would be "very difficult to identify".
"They eat, sleep, look like, sound like and act like Australians," he said.
"They engage in clandestine collection operations, they recruit sources and agents, and they conduct sabotage assassinations.
"They basically execute targets within the country of which they reside in."
"They will continue to engage in espionage, they will continue to engage in strategic planning and operations in order to be successful at gaining the information intelligence that they absolutely need," Dr Desmond said.
He said they do this while "simultaneously influencing decision makers abroad through disinformation campaigns" and "influencing political decisions and elections where they can".
In his opinion the West is already at war with Russia — a "cyber espionage war".
