Dear Simeon,
From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on the Nativity of Christ. I extend these greetings to you, to your family and your kin, to your children, to your beloved wife who is so dear to your heart, to Australiaโyour smaller homelandโand to Russia, your greater homeland. Russia truly needs men like you, because, as you yourself can see, so few of us remain.
But this does not mean that the battle is coming to an end. Noโwe may indeed be fighting at sunset, fighting at the twilight of our civilization. Yet we are still fighting. We do not surrender. And the whole world, in a sense, exists in a state of absolute tension because Russians still remain Russians.
That is why we must stand together more firmly than everโbe close, remain united, and support one another. That is all.
After the 25th I will be leaving. I will stay there until the end of February. Then comes Lent, then Easter. After Easter I will be able to come to youโof course, if it suits you, and if you see a continuation of our endeavor together, in this very format. Conditions are being set on usโ by your consulate or embassy for obtaining the visa.
So, my brother, do not lose heart there. If you have taken up the Russian cause, then endure to the very end. Stand firm to the end. Fight to the endโbecause the Lord Himself went all the way to the end. He went all the way to the Cross. Remember how He said: Do you really think I could not ask My Heavenly Father to send Me ten or even twenty legions of angels, who could reduce the whole world to dust? Yet He followed the covenant of God.
So for us, my dear one, there can be no turning back. None at all.
May the Lord protect you, my dear one, and may the Mother of God watch over you as well.

Russia and the USA both agree the ship is neutral. So technically USA captured a Venezualan ship.
That's the official diplomatic consensus between Washington and Moscow after an initial Russian Ministry of Transport statement confirming "temporary Russian registration" of the oil tanker.
Russia and American should not risk sour or relations or armed conflict over a lousy, rusty Venezualan oil ship.
Putin and Trump have bigger fish to fry. USA and Russia need to focus on joining forces in the Arctic against NATO.
In fact Russia should trade as much foreign land to Trump as possible in exchange for the US military joining forces with Russia against the EU alliance of Merz, Starmer, Zelensky and Macron.
PS. Yes Russia should trade it's political capital around the world to appease Trump at the expense of securing total victory in Ukraine. It makes ZERO sense for Russia to cling onto failing regimes around the world for no gain. Enough. Russian interests first.
