In 2026, Russia plans to occupy all of Ukraine east of the Dnieper River , as well as capture the Odessa and Nikolaev regions.
"Moscow is seeking to expand its influence in eastern Ukraine. This includes seizing the entire Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the fall and then creating a buffer zone along the northern border with Russia until the end of the year.
They are not talking about peace. They are preparing for war," Palisa added.
