🚨 MAN SHOT DEAD IN CAR IN SYDNEY'S NORTH-WEST

A man believed to be in his 30s has been found dead with significant gunshot injuries inside a vehicle on North Rocks Road in Carlingford this morning.

Police were called to the scene around 7am, with the Homicide Squad now investigating the fatal shooting. No arrests have been announced.

A Melbourne chef, Thawat Prommachan, convicted of two counts of sexual assault has avoided prison, instead receiving a two-year community corrections order and 250 hours of unpaid community work.

The court heard the victim repeatedly said “no”, while Prommachan later told police it was “hard to stop once in the mood”. Judge Kate Hawkins accepted evidence that imprisonment would be especially harsh because Prommachan identifies as transgender, citing increased risks of violence, segregation and limited access to gender-affirming treatment in custody.

🚨 POLICE HUNT THREE MIDDLE EASTERN MALES AFTER VICIOUS MACHETE ATTACK

A 15-year-old boy remains in hospital after allegedly being chased and repeatedly slashed by three males armed with machetes, knives and swords near Alkira Secondary College in Cranbourne North, Melbourne.

Police believe the offenders are aged between 16 and 20 and are of Middle Eastern appearance. Detectives say the group let out a “war cry” before chasing and attacking the boy, who they believe was specifically targeted. The three suspects remain on the run.

Daniel Toutounji, 37, an alleged former senior Comanchero bikie, was arrested at Sydney Airport after arriving on a flight from Berlin.

Police allege he fled Australia in 2018 after officers seized 1kg of cocaine, almost $95,000 in cash and multiple firearms during a raid in Randwick. He was refused bail after being charged with multiple drug and organised crime offences.
