Australia has recorded its lowest ever birth rates, again.

At the same time, record levels of immigrants continue to pour into the country.

But not only is immigration making Aussies poorer, it’s directly correlated with declining birth rates.

Research shows immigration itself is a factor behind declining birth rates - it contributes significantly to unaffordable housing, stagnant wage growth, and decreased productivity - all factors researchers have identified as key reasons Australians can’t have as many kids as they’d like, as young as they’d like, or start a family at all.

The worst part is Australians have never been consulted on immigration. For decades, they’ve been staunchly against large increases, yet time after time they’re ignored while immigration rises - making them poorer and unable to have the families they want.

So the solution isn’t just to tell people to “have more kids”; it’s to ease the economic pressures that currently prevent them from doing so. Immigration presently replaces our people for the sake of economic growth, but this means that it is destroying our nation. Because a country isn’t its GDP or geography - it’s the people.
