Cursor AI Hackathon Ethiopia is happening July 25–26 at Adwa Museum.
We’re partnering with Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MinT) and Ethio telecom to bring builders together for Ethiopia’s largest AI hackathon.
We're looking for idea-stage AI startups. Not polished products, not finished projects. Just a real problem, real users, and a team ready to build fast. If you've been sitting on an idea, this is the weekend to start it.
You'll have 20 hours to turn it into a working MVP, with credits and AI tools from Cursor and our AI credit sponsors: Addis AI, ElevenLabs, Fal, Whisperflow, and more. Food, mentors, and support are covered the whole time.
We're taking 60 teams. Have a team? Register with your team code. Coming alone? Tell us your skills and we'll match you into a team of 5, or fill your team's open spots.
Incubation partners will be in the room too, including MinT, the Addis Ababa University Startup Center, Gheero, and others, ready to back promising teams with mentorship, workspace, and follow-up. Investors will be there looking for ideas worth funding.

Jemaw... I've been pretty sick these past couple of days.
I actually thought I'd be back today, start with my usual "Good Morning" post and get back to building... but i couldn't be able to do that .
So I just kept resting.
I finally opened Telegram a little while ago... and the first thing I saw was Bini's post about #equib_manager.
Honestly... that caught me completely off guard.
Some of you who've been here for a while might have seen me mention @Bini once or twice before. He's been supporting me since the XPense days, back when I was still trying to figure out whether this software engineering journey was even going to work out. He'd check in on the project, ask how things were going, when ever got a chance in his busy schedule and encourage me to keep building.
It really means a lot seeing someone notice all the work and story behind #equib_manager. Sometimes you're so focused on building that you forget people are actually watching.

And I made a major changes in the ui and also functionality
But I want to tell you this one thing I've learned from equib manager implimented on xpense while working on is how super frustrating sometimes is to start from the beginning when it comes to finance or any management apps so am introducing a feature where you can share your budget map so you can start from pre configured budget sets this saves a lot of time spending on splitting your budgets
