Rally at the Market Square (in front of "Haus der Bürgerschaft")
June 17 – 1:30 p.m.
Politicians are smearing us with terms like “all-inclusive education” and breaking their financial promises to us. If they leave us out in the cold, we’ll bring the cold to them! We won’t let it happen that soon only the richest and most privileged can afford to go to college!

Moin :)
You might have heard of us before—we’re "Uni für Alle" (University for All), the group behind the solidarity fund :)
We did indeed say €110.
The semester fee at the University of Bremen now stands at €443.40.
For many students, this poses a serious problem; rents and food prices are high, and many aren't lucky enough to have a support network that can provide financial help. BAföG (state student financial aid) is reaching fewer students than at any point in the last 25 years—now going to just 11% of the student body (1). Student loans have turned into debt traps. Consequently, more and more of us are working alongside our studies—something that is barely compatible with many degree programs and leads to significantly longer study times and immense stress.
The payment deadline is August 15, 2026. We—the University of Bremen’s AStA (Student Union)—are once again receiving a growing number of messages from students who simply cannot afford to pay this amount.
Students are dropping out of university right now. The Bremen government had promised to offset further increases—while there was never even any talk of a reduction. Yet the amount has risen regardless, and the situation has become even more difficult for us. That is why the AStA is once again organizing the solidarity fund this semester to support students who cannot afford this sum as they pursue their education.
We find it unacceptable that educational paths—and thus entire lives—are altered because of our semester fee. Education is a human right and, for the individual, the most sustainable way to invest in one’s standard of living, financial stability, and independence.
Society as a whole also needs a well-trained workforce for the future; we cannot afford to squander our potential through such socially inequitable measures. Due to demographic change, our generation is bound to find itself in a position where a small number of people must generate the pension funds for the many; furthermore, future crises will likewise demand competent action. With fewer university-educated individuals, managing these challenges will become even harder, leading to even greater hardship than what we already face. From both an individual and a societal perspective, higher education must not be the exclusive privilege of the wealthy.
That is why we are asking you today to help a student in this city navigate their current situation—and to help set the social structure of tomorrow on the right path. Please support us with a donation to promote greater educational equity! You are welcome to make a donation to the following account

Follow the instructions at https://www.asta.uni-bremen.de/solifond-wise-2026-27/ and send your documents to solifonds@asta.uni-bremen.de. We will try to support as many people as possible. We are currently basing our support on the €110 fee increase introduced in the 2024/2025 winter semester.
We are currently receiving a very high volume of messages, so it may take a little while to get a reply—but we will definitely get back to you!
Do you want to help us but don't have the money to donate yourself? Then feel free to share these pics in your social media groups and tell your friends, family, and colleagues about our campaign.

- Gurte, Kartons, Werkzeuge verleihen 🧰⚒️🪚
*Sonntag, 02.08.26*
*Donnerstag, 06.08.26*
