Coronavirus Structure
The structure of coronavirus has multiple parts. Inside the virus lies the genetic encoding that allows the virus to hijack human cells and turn them into virus factories. A protein encapsulates the genetic material known as the viral envelope. On the surface of the viral are S and HE proteins. The structure of 2019 novel coronavirus is a mutation.
The large S glycoproteins are used by the virus to gain entry to human cells. They most likely attach to Angiotensin converting enzyme 2 receptors on the cell membrane allowing the virus entry. The exact mechanism for this is not known. © Scientific Animations

Patient plays violin during her brain surgery 🧠 !

Watch the incredible moment Dagmar Turner played the violin while surgeons operated on her brain 🎻

A patient at King's College Hospital in London played the violin while surgeons operated on her brain to remove a tumor.

Dagmar Turner, 53, played the violin so surgeons could ensure parts of the brain which control hand movements and coordination were not damaged during the millimetre-precise procedure.

Ms Turner, from the Isle of Wight, was diagnosed with a brain tumour after suffering a seizure in 2013.

She was concerned over losing the ability to play the violin.
Her tumour was located in the right frontal lobe of her brain, close to an area that controls the fine movement of her left hand.
Varicella zoster virus (VZV)👉 is an exclusively human virus that belongs to the α-herpesvirus family. VZV is present worldwide and is highly infectious. Primary infection leads to acute varicella or “chickenpox”, usually from exposure either through direct contact with a skin lesion or through airborne spread from respiratory droplets. After initial infection, VZV establishes lifelong latency in cranial nerve and dorsal root ganglia, and can reactivate years to decades later as herpes zoster (HZ) or “shingles”.More than 90% of adults in the United States acquired the disease in childhood, while the majority of children and young adults have been vaccinated with the live virus vaccine.

Primary varicella typically presents with fever, constitutional symptoms and a vesicular, pruritic, widely disseminated rash that primarily involves the trunk and face. The symptoms usually resolve within 7 to 10 days, but in rare cases primary varicella leads to more severe disease and visceral invasion.
