My therapist said I’m not asexual. Now I’m confused.
I don’t know if this counts as aphobia or not. But my therapist told me I’m not asexual because I have a sex drive. Now I’m all confused about what I am. She then asked me what I found attractive in a man and I just couldn’t answer cause my mind drew a blank. I’m so lost rn. I’m in my twenties and can’t even imagine kissing people. Ughhh what am I?
Edit: I’m worried that I’m just repulsed due to trauma.
Edit2: Thank you so much everyone. I was in a really bad headspace when I made that post but all your comments have made me feel so much better. I‘m grateful to know this community 💜

What's the sexual equivalent of amatonormativity? Because whatever it is, it applies here

I did it, I told my mom that I'm Aro-ace.
I had to find a way to explain the term Aro-ace in my native language and actually I thought of telling her when I become 25 but glad I found the perfect moment to explain the whole thing.
I told her that 1% out of the entire world population can't feel attraction towards any gender and that I belong to that 1% and then I google translated wiki fandom article and gave it to her to read it and after reading it she told me that she'll believe it if I graduate from university without any relationship whatsoever.
I think it's a positive reaction and really feel good that I don't have to hide it anymore. : )
Edit:- I also told my whole class that I'm asexual and they were also positive about it, they told me that they don't care either way lol
