Ace people have always existed

I have seen a lot of aphobia that insists that asexuality is “made up,” “new,” or somehow illegitimate because it was “made up” by Millennials and Zoomers.

I was charting my family tree today and remembered that my uncle is asexual. He is 77 years old and as a teenager in the 1950’s firmly expressed that he would never date or have a romantic relationship. He never has.

He was delighted when he learned the word (before he retired he was a high school teacher and learned it from his students). His parents and extended family embraced his asexuality (a couple people in the previous generation also deliberately choice not to engage in romantic or sexual relationships).

We have always been here.

Some asshole made the perfect anime for aces, and then somehow made it super sexual.

am i really asexual if.......

hi everyone!!!! i just had a quick question for all of my fellow asexual friends. i recently just found out about asexuality and it honestly feels like i have found the answer to so many of my questions about why i've always lacked sexual attraction. i think im finally coming to terms with my asexuality but one thing is stopping me from fully identifying as asexual..... i masturbate. i don't do it cause i like it but because of the unfortunate, hormones in my body. anyway, i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if people like me who masturbate are still considered asexual. i really want to be a part of this amazing community but don't want to misidentify myself. thank you so much for your answers in advance and i hope you all have a great morning, afternoon, or evening wherever you are in the world. <3

Because or reddit I was never given a chance for privacy

My older sister is a hypochondriac.
And early last year she posted a wasp saying it was a "murder bee" or some shit.
I kept telling her to ask on one of the reddits identify bugs sub reddit.
She's fucking dumb so I posted for her not thinking the dumb girl would find me
She did.

And since then she's used the knowledge of this account to out me.

She found the pics of my dog in her ace pride collar and reported it to my other sister
They then decided they needed to ask me.
Even though I never wanted to come out. To all I'm very... I don't see the need to come out.

But my idiotic, super conservative sister decided she needed to out me.

So 2 years ago I was cornered into telling my two sisters when I never wanted to come out to anyone. I still hold resentment.

I'm not happy, even after all this time.
Coming out should be on the actual person. Not some stupid family member who thinks reddit posts are free game to share to other's. I never wanted to come out.
But because of her. I was cornered.

And they still don't understand lol. I tried explaining Asexuality. It's not that hard right? I don't want sex. And in my case I don't want to be touched or anything of the sort.
So anyways my sister outed me without out understanding. When I never wanted to "come clean". All because she was too fucking stupid to look up a basic wasp here on reddit.

I have a great idea for how to make movies ace-friendly

Replace all those sex scenes with a 5-second black screen that says "And then they had sex. And it was great"
