Ethnography

Being inspired by my sociology class I would love to create a ethnography and study asexuals and how society that is focused on sex affects asexual culture. I feel like I want to talk about the history of asexuality, sex being used for advertisements. Average age people have sex , how society sanctions sex and asexuality. I may start posting surveys on this subreddit sometime because I would love to write about what it means to be asexual in a society full of sex.

What kind of discrimination do asexuals face?

I’m new to accepting my asexuality and I’m curious what kind of negative reactions to asexuality people commonly experience - just so I can be prepared. LGBT+ sadly experiences a lot of homophobia and nasty reactions, but asexuality isn’t really mentioned. Sorry if this sounds like an odd question.

One of my workmates told me that going to the gym would make me more virile and end my asexuality...

Spoiler alert: nope.

A colleague told me that starting regular gym sessions would 'cure' me by raising testosterone. Also seeing all the 'totty' (British slang for attractive women) would raise more than weights. 10 weeks in and no change yet!
