The first invitations to generate wallets to hold your AR tokens have now been emailed to token buyers who have successfully completed KYC.
You can verify the validity of this email and the Upvest.co wallet by checking your browser’s ‘secure’ padlock symbol in the URL bar, and by noting the Upvest logo among our partners.

Arweave tokens are being progressively distributed to token buyers who have both completed their KYC process and generated their Upvest wallet. Not everyone will have received their tokens yet, this process is currently ongoing.
When the majority of active community members have generated their wallets and received their tokens, the tokens will become transferable and so can then be moved from wallet to wallet.

Remember:
- Arweave tokens are not ERC-20 tokens, so cannot be used with Ethereum network wallets. AR tokens are native tokens to the Arweave network.
- If you send tokens to an address that does not exist on the Arweave network, you will not be able to recover your tokens. So, do not ever send your AR tokens to an Ethereum wallet address.
- We strongly recommend performing a test transaction with a small quantity of AR tokens, especially when sending to a new address or when using the Arweave or Upvest wallets for the first time.

Hi all,
Here is a mini-update of what we have been up to:
- Arweave version 1.5 is nearing release. This version builds considerably on the initial main network release, changing approximately 20% of the codebase and delivering faster data access and a more reliable mining experience. This has been the focus on our dev team’s work for a while now, so we’re really excited to get this shipped soon.
- The second version of the Arweave web extension, with significantly improved user experience (thanks to your community feedback!) is also nearer release. Among the user interface changes, this update will also add features like multiple wallet support.
- Progress continues on the ArchiveIt! permanent file backup system, improving its user interface and general ease of use.
- Exciting work continues bringing new businesses and customers to the network — we will release names at an appropriate moment .
- We have hired 3 new members of staff, and are in the process of filling three further positions.
- Less exciting, but still necessary operations update: we now have a new office that will be able to accommodate our growing team!
Regarding exchanges: I am sure that you all understand the situation by now - we are in high level talks with a number of exchanges, and we are continuing to make progress, though we cannot discuss any further details publicly at this stage. We would love to tell you all about our progress, but doing so would put that progress itself in jeopardy. We thank you sincerely for your understanding.
