آرورا وأبولو (١٦٧١)، جيرارد دي لايريس

"آرورا" بالإغريقي يعني "شروق الشمس". اعتقد الإغريقيون في أساطيرهم أن آرورا كانت أخت هيليوس وسيلين، الشمس والقمر على التوالي، وأنها كانت تتسابق عبر سماء الصباح الباكر في مركبتها متعددة الألوان لتنبيه أشقائها إلى فجر يوم جديد.

ويعتقد الإغريق في أساطيرهم أن أَبُولُو هو إله الشمس والموسيقى والشّعر. وهو الأخ التؤام لآرتميس، وهي آلهة القمر، والغابات والحياة البرية.

Not to be annoying but you know what i want?
A group of close friends who love poetry, old literature and philosophy and appreciate all the marvelous pretentious things in life. I want to meet up with them at midnight in the halls of an old castle or in a quiet corner café in the city center and share our poetry and thoughts and give each other books with scribbles in the margins. I want to write with them and discuss our ideals about the world and our hate for institutions. I want to run through dark alleys with this group of friends while the city is empty and scream verses that have been composed onto a rusty typewriter a few centuries prior to our existence, to feel the orphic magic of having these words on my lips heard by other people who adore them too. To share this flame of thirst for knowledge and imagination. To share this world of academia with people who have pieces of this world within them too. I want this so much!
