How to Regulate Your Emotions
Emotional regulation doesnβt mean hiding or suppressing your feelings. It means understanding what you feel and choosing how to respond.
π§ Pause before reacting.
Strong emotions can make us act impulsively. Taking a moment can help you respond rather than react.
π§ Remember: thoughts arenβt facts.
βIβm not good enoughβ or βThey donβt respect meβ may feel true, but feelings can distort reality.
π Stay flexible.
Different situations require different responses. Emotional strength comes from adapting rather than always reacting the same way.
π Donβt overthink.
Repeatedly replaying negative thoughts rarely solves the problem. Sometimes, letting a thought go is more useful than analyzing it again.
The goal isnβt to control every emotion.
Itβs to control what you do with it.
Being emotionally strong doesnβt mean never feeling bad β it means knowing what to do when you do.

π 5 Reasons to Be Mindful This Autumn
Autumn is a perfect time to slow down, pay attention, and reconnect with yourself.
Here are 5 reasons to practise mindfulness this season:
π 1. Boost your energy
Notice what gives you energy and what drains it.
π§οΈ 2. Reduce anxiety
Focus on the present instead of worrying about what might happen.
π 3. Broaden your perspective
Sometimes, stepping back helps you see the bigger picture.
β 4. Appreciate simple moments
Enjoy the changing leaves, a warm drink, a quiet walk, or a conversation with someone you love.
π 5. Prevent burnout
You donβt always have to do more. Sometimes, you simply need to pause and recharge.
π Mindfulness is not about stopping your thoughts. Itβs about learning to notice them without letting them control you.

What Kind of Purpose Makes Us Happy?
We often hear that having a purpose makes life happier and more meaningful. But new research suggests that the type of purpose we have may matter just as much as having one.
Researchers studied 528 people and identified seven types of purpose: having no purpose, survival, religious, personal-accumulative, altruistic, self-expansive, and transpersonal purpose.
Interestingly, younger people were more likely to focus on achievement, career, wealth, and status. However, this βaccumulativeβ purpose was actually associated with lower happiness.
On the other hand, purposes connected with personal growth, helping others, and something larger than ourselves were more strongly associated with happiness.
The researchers also found that purpose tends to change with age. As people get older, they become more oriented toward altruistic and transpersonal purposes, rather than achievement and accumulation.
π‘ The key lesson:
Maybe happiness doesnβt come from asking, βWhat can I achieve?β but rather, βWhat can I grow into, contribute to, or become part of?β
Sometimes, a meaningful life is not about getting more, but about becoming more and giving more.
