We often fall for the idea of something rather than its reality. Excitement makes us focus on what we hope to see instead of what is actually there.
Think about choosing a university. Some students pick one just because itβs famous or looks impressive online, only to realize later that the program, cost, or environment doesnβt match their goals. The problem wasnβt the universityβit was the decision-making process.
The same happens in relationships, careers, and everyday life. When emotions take the lead, we stop asking the questions that matter.
