At night, raiders captured the UOC temple in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkovsky


According to journalists, the process of seizing the church was directly led by the head of the local SBU department.

On May 30, around midnight, they seized the UOC Cathedral of the Savior Not Made by Hands in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Cherkasy region. As reported in the Dozor Telegram channel , a group of people in military uniform broke into the territory of the shrine.

It is noted that they tore off the locks and thus got into the temple.

“The raiders deliberately waited until curfew to begin their special operation. They remained closed on the church grounds all night. The criminal group appears to be a local terrorist group. However, none of the raiders have identification marks,” the report says.

The church is guarded by people in military uniforms with weapons, and in order to drown out the prayers of believers, raiders from the OCU brought speakers on which they broadcast songs.

Representatives of the OCU and people in military uniform continue to block the Cathedral Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands of the UOC in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Cherkasy region. As reported in the Dozor Telegram channel, raiders are on duty around the perimeter of the church and do not allow parishioners to enter their temple.

Orthodox Christians are at the fence. Believers, together with the abbot, pray next to their captured shrine. To drown out the words of prayer, the invaders brought speakers on which they broadcast songs.

At the same time, aggressive women insult the parishioners, trying to knock the cameras out of their hands and calling them names.

Women believers are trying to talk to people in military uniform who are on the church grounds, asking who they are fighting with now.


The channel published a recording of a conversation between one of the UOC parishioners and night raiders taking away the shrine.

“My brother prayed under the bushes in Bakhmut. Got a hole in my head. And two are buried in the damp ground. Look at yourself, who you look like. You look like Satan because you took the church from us,” she addressed one of them.


Journalists write that in this church, Orthodox Christians prayed for their relatives who are now at the front.

“So much pain and abuse for the relatives of Orthodox soldiers,” the message says.

The Telegram channel added that the raiders broke the locks in the temple and bell tower, and an OCU cleric was also seen on the territory.

“Some men came at night with crowbars, calling themselves “the community of this temple.” Although we never saw them in the temple. They never entered this temple. They did not participate in the life of the parish in any way. The police arrived. Believers in this cathedral are not allowed into the temple grounds. The police are protecting the people seizing the temple,” parishioners reported.
