A few favourite archi-moments at @expo2020dubai

1. 🇯🇵 Japan // Nagayama Yuko + NTT facilities // One of the most beautiful facades... it combines traditional arabesque and asanoha patterns. Reminds me of a project we did for our materials class in 2nd year w/ @cristinagrr and Luis

2. 🇸🇬 Singapore // WOHA // Walking through the net-zero energy rainforest was one of the coolest experiences at the expo :) A great example of how nature and architecture can co-exist

3. 🇨🇿 Czhec Republic // Formosa AA // Magical cloud of fiberglass pipes... Rewatch the videos in my story highlights to see my dads reaction to the structure

4. 🇩🇪 Germany // LAVA + facts and fiction // One of the largest pavilions... with one of the longest queues to get it! Be sure to book your visit in advance in the expo app ;)

5. Alif - the Mobility Pavilion // Foster + Partners // Standing at one of the three entrances, the pavilion immediately evokes a feeling of movement.

6. 🇨🇭 Switzerland // OOS // Don't forget your umbrella... as inside you will be hiking through the swiss fog.

7. 🇦🇪 UAE // Santiago Calatrava // Leave it to Calatrava to design the most dramatic pavilion. Those moveable panels, inspired by the falcon wing... just wow. If you don't get a chance to go inside, be sure to walk through the garden behind the pavilion. There you will find one of my favourite sculptures of all time... the marble pillows)))

8. Walking through one of the smaller alley ways you will find many innovative sculptures and folleys. These photovoltaic panels provide both shade and power :)

9. 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia // Boris Micka Associates // A huge LED screen emerging from the ground? Why not

10. 🇵🇰 Pakistan // Al Jabal Engineering // You know I love colour! So here it is, the most colourful pavilion <3
