‘Alter Ego’ [2007-onwards] by Robbie Cooper

In this photo series, photographer Robbie Cooper presents side-by-side portraits of individuals and the digital avatars they inhabit in online virtual worlds. He began the project in 2007 after meeting people who spent meaningful parts of their lives inside platforms such as Second Life and World of Warcraft. Cooper photographed each participant in person and then captured the avatar they designed to represent themselves digitally, allowing viewers to see how identity changes when it is self-created rather than biologically inherited.

An Optimus robot collapsed while handing out water bottles at a Tesla event in Miami. It suddenly mimicked someone removing a VR headset and fell backward, which appears to be the result of its teleoperator taking off their headset while still linked to the robot.

Their identity remains unknown to this day, but police suspect it may have been someone at the hospital, New York Presbyterian, where Epstein was taken as they declined to comment on the news leak.
