BIM LEVELS

📌Level 0- It Means that you are developing just 2D deliverables for your project like 2D Plans, Sections and Elevations and not doing 3D Modelling of the project. Its not BIM but a progression from hand drawing.

📌Level 1 - It means that you are developing a 3D model of your project. However, that model is not deliverable for you. You are keeping it to yourself and just sharing it in PDF and CAD format. You are making it just for extracting deliverables like 3D Plans, Sections and Elevations.

📌Level 2- It means that you are developing an intelligent 3D model of your project and sharing the model with all the stake holders of the project i.e with Architects, Structural and MEP designers, PMCs and Contractors on Common Data Environment platform. It means that you are creating a 3D clash free model. Here you are guided by the BIM Execution plan and supervised by BIM Managers. Right now most of the People using BIM for construction projects are working in Level 2.

📌Level 3- It is a detailed level of BIM still not has a clear definition. Its also known as Integrated BIM which can be used for Life cycle management of the project. Industry experts are working on making BIM more standardized and technology ready.
