Si sta parlando, giustamente, molto della copertina del TIME che sostituisce gli 11 operai del celebre scatto del 1932, conosciuto come "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper" con gli 8 architetti della IA.
Un accostamento che, a quanto pare, a molti non è piaciuto.

Ma bisogna comunque specificare che quello scatto era stato fatto per una campagna pubblicitaria. Lo scopo era quello di mostrare un'immagine che mostrasse al mondo il progresso che passava dalla costruzione del grattacielo, oggi noto a tutti come Rockefeller Center.

Quindi, vero gli operai erano operai che davvero lavoravano alla costruzione del grattacielo, ma l'ambientazione fu costruita ad arte. Vero anche che gli 11 operai erano seduti su un asse sospeso nel vuoto, ma si dice che comunque erano state approntate delle precauzioni. E per quanto tali, parliamo sempre degli anni '30, quindi sì la scena era in ogni caso molto pericolosa.

Certo, se ci fosse stato uno strumento di grafica forse si sarebbe adottato un altro stratagemma, ma negli anni '30 non era possibile.

Cosa che invece ha potuto fare il TIME, prendendo spunto da una immagine iconica per dare vita ad una copertina che resterà a lungo.
