نگاه کلی به بخش های آزمون تافل

• بخش ریدینگ تافل (TOEFL Reading)
باید در بازه زمانی ۶۰ الی ۱۰۰ دقیقه پاسخ دهید. در اینجا مهارت شما در فهمیدن و آنالیز متون انگلیسی مورد ارزیابی قرار می‌گیرد. موضوعات این بخش بیشتر مربتط با علم و موارد
آکادمیک است.

• بخش لیسنینگ تافل (TOEFL Listening)
شما باید در عرض ۶۰ الی ۹۰ دقیقه پاسخ دهید. جهت موفقیت در این بخش باید مهارت خود در فهمیدن ورودی کلامی (شفاهی) را تقویت کنید؛‌ به عنوان مثال زمانی که استاد دانشگاه در حال ارائه یک سخنرانی به زبان انگلیسی است. در این بخش ۴ الی ۶ سخنرانی پخش می‌شود و باید به سوالاتی پیرامون آنها پاسخ دهید. این سوالات فهم شما از محتوی سخنرانی‌ها و احساسات
گویندگان را مورد ارزیابی قرار می‌دهند.


• بخش اسپیکینگ تافل (TOEFL Speaking)
کوتاه‌ترین قسمت آزمون است و تنها ۲۰ دقیقه به طول می‌انجامد. در اینجا ۶ تمرین مختلف وجود دارد که باید در میکروفونی صحبت کنید. در اینجا مهارت شما در بیان احساسات و نظرات خود مورد ارزیابی قرار می‌گیرد.

بخش رایتینگ تافل (TOEFL Writing)

حدود ۵۰ دقیقه فرصت دارید تا مهارت خود در نوشتن متون انگلیسی نشان دهید. دانش گرامری و لغوی شما در اینجا باید به خوبی در جملات و پاراگراف‌ها به کار گرفته شود.
 
نمره هر یک از این بخش‌ها ۳۰ است و در مجموع نمره تافل از ۱۲۰ نمره در نظر گرفته می‌شود. تمامی ۴ بخش آزمون را باید در عرض یک روز انجام دهید. مدت زمان کلی آزمون حدود ۴ ساعت و نیم است و در بین آن یک استراحت کوتاه خواهید داشت (بین دو بخش لیسنینگ و اسپیکینگ).

مهاجرت چیست؟
مهاجرت به معنای کلی، جابجایی و تغییر مکان زندگی به مکان دیگر برای بهبود زندگی یا فرار از آسیب است. مهاجرت انسان‌ها همیشه وجود داشته است. افراد برای فرار از جنگ و قحطی و برای به دست آوردن منابع یا زندگی بهتر، کوچ می‌کردند. با پیشرفت جوامع، مهاجرت رنگ و بوی دیگری به خود گرفته و تبدیل به مسئله بسیار پیچیده‌ای شده‌است. بعد روانی مهاجرت در گذشته مورد توجه نبود اما امروزه به دلیل افزایش وابستگی‌های مادی و معنوی و همچنین افزایش سختی‌های مهاجرت، این مسئله رنگ تازه‌ای به خود گرفته‌است.


دلایل اصلی مهاجرت کدام‌اند؟
همانطور که گفته شد دلایل اصلی مهاجرت خروج از یک موقعیت نامساعد و داشتن یک موقعیت بهتر است. عمده‌ترین دلایل مهاجرت:

1. جنگ و نا امنی
مسئله جنگ، یکی از قدیمی‌ترین دلایل مهاجرت است که افراد برای یافتن مکانی امن برای زندگی از شهر یا کشور خود فراری می‌شدند. می‌توان این نوع مهاجرت را اجباری دانست.

2. شرایط اقتصادی از دلایل مهاجرت
بحران‌های اقتصادی باعث پایین آمدن کیفیت زندگی بسیاری از مردم می‌شود و عده‌ای برای ادامه زندگی به محیط دیگری که شرایط مناسبی دارد سوق داده می‌شوند. این مورد در کشور ما در چند سال اخیر بسیار شدت گرفته و شرایط نامناسب اقتصادی باعث افزایش میزان مهاجرت اقشار مختلف شده است.

3. شرایط آموزشی
بسیاری از مهاجرت‌ها به خاطر رسیدن به امکانات آموزشی و تحصیلی اتفاق می‌افتد. معمولا این شکل از مهاجرت بیشترین بازگشت به کشور را دارد. به طوری که افراد بعد از تحصیل به هر دلیل، به کشور خود باز می‌گردند.

4. آزادی و امنیت بیشتر از دلایل مهاجرت
یکی از مسائلی که مردم را به سمت مهاجرت سوق می‌دهد، شرایط زندگی محدود و پر فشار است. از بین رفتن حقوق اجتماعی و سیاسی، دلبستگی مردم از وطنشان را کم می‌کند. در نتیجه آن‌ها به دنبال وطن جدیدی می‌گردند که به آن‌ها و آزادی هایشان بها دهد و امنیت روانی آن‌ها را تامین کند.

5. جذابیت‌های مقصد
ممکن است کشور یا محل زندگی فرد شرایط نامناسبی نداشته باشد اما جذابیت‌های مقاصد پیش رو، آن‌ها را برای مهاجرت وسوسه می‌کند. طبیعت ذاتی انسان حرکت به سوی کمال و بهترین است و کسانی که از این موهبت بی بهره‌اند، ممکن است ماهیت انسانی خود را فراموش کرده باشند.

6. شرایط اقلیمی از دلایل مهاجرت
ممکن است برخی مناطق به دلیل شرایط بحرانی جغرافیایی، مردم خود را مجبور به مهاجرت کند. بی آبی، کمبود منابع تغذیه، بلایای طبیعی مثل زلزله یا سیل، گرما یا سرمای بیش از حد، شرایط آب و هوایی و حتی سختی دسترسی به مراکز قدرتمند، از این دسته عوامل هستند.

7. مهاجرت اجباری
در دوره‌هایی از تاریخ این نوع مهاجرت دیده شده که دولت وقت یا استعمارگر، مردم مناطقی را مجبور به مهاجرت به نقطه‌ای خاص می‌کنند. کار و کشاورزی، کنترل مردم و آشوب‌های قومی، مسائل جمعیت شناختی، جنگ‌ها و شرایط منابع طبیعی برخی از دلایل مهاجرت در تاریخ است.

About the Role
We now have an opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to work on our Beamline I05, which is designed for angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES). On this beamline we use the intense extreme ultraviolet (EUV, 18 – 240 eV) beam from the synchrotron for detailed studies of the electronic structure of quantum materials. We have two end-stations, one for high resolution ARPES (HR-ARPES) and the other for spatially resolved ARPES (nano-ARPES).

We are seeking a post-doctoral training fellow analytical scientist with experience in single cell bioinformatics to join the Breast Cancer Research Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics Groups at the Breast Cancer Now Centre (ICR, South Kensington, Chelsea, London).
