Verizon is having a fiber cut.
Transport XO team reports Field Engineer advises the fiber damage has been isolated to Cherry St and Thorton in Newark CA. An 864 ct and 432 ct and a possible a second 432 ct cable has been damage by a construction crew boring into the ground. Field Engineer also advises the construction crew is expected to be on site to pull approximately 1000ft of slack from existing cable at approximately 15:00 GMT or first am. Once the slack is pulled in the Verizon fiber splicers will arrive on site to do the repairs. No ETR at this time. More updates to follow.
