ICRP has called for action worldwide to strengthen expertise in radiological protection over concerns that a shortage of investment in training, education, research, and infrastructure will compromise society’s ability to manage radiation risks. This could lead to unjustified exposure to or unwarranted fear of radiation, impacting physical, mental, and social well-being. It could also unduly limit the potential for research and development in new radiation technologies (for example, in healthcare, energy, and the environment) for beneficial purposes.

This course is a collaborative effort between Imaging Academic Outreach Center (iAOC) Thailand, the Child Neurology Association (Thailand) and the Indiana University School of Medicine, Riley Children Hospital, USA. Its purpose is to share knowledge in Pediatric Neuroradiology, a subspecialty that is relatively underrepresented in our region. This scarcity has led to a lack of expertise and collaboration in the field.

Since 2017, the iAOC has been organizing more than 10 educational course series, both onsite and online, in pediatric neuroradiology aimed at educating radiologists, pediatricians, surgeons, technologists and health professionals. The goal is to foster mutual understanding and collaborative efforts to provide the best patient care as well as encourage young physicians in both radiology and pediatrics to join this field. The Child Neurology Association (Thailand) and Indiana University School of Medicine, Riley Children Hospital, USA, have been partners in this initiative from the beginning, promoting the idea that radiologists and clinicians from the same institute can learn together and apply these concepts in their practice without conflicting.
Course Highlights:
· High-yield lectures on Epilepsy, Neonatal and Young Adult Stroke, CNS Tumor and Congenital Conditions.
· Interactive workshops to review and highlight challenging cases.
