The Germans are expanding the concept of the car being a second wife (well, or husband-alphonse). Such a monthly subscription to heat your heel, will cost $18 - month, $180 - year, $300 - 3 years, or unlimited access for only some 415 evergreen.
This isn't the first nonsense, starting in 2020 BMW is gradually turning parts of the car into "services" that can be purchased - subwoofers, automatic high beam and adaptive cruise control.
Importantly, the restrictions apply only at the level of proprietary software. In simple terms, the car will already have the functions from the list above, but they are simply blocked by the software unit, for the removal of which, in turn, the user must pay.

The source of Kommersant claims that it is planned to create the equipment by 2025, for which Skoltech and the Radio Research Institute are requesting, according to him, more than 30 billion from the budget.
