Over 20 years ago, this pledge captivated the hearts of a generation of teens and young adults. Yes, times have changed but the call of God to preach the gospel of the Kingdom goes out to every generation. Today, the time has come for you and me to respond.

Who will hear and obey? Let it be you, let it be me, let it be all of us who are alive at this unique point in history.

Today, on the first day of 2023, while one half of the world makes merry and the other live in poverty and violence, we ask you to take a moment and be still before the One who created you and who knows all about you.

In the quietness of your heart, we challenge you to say this pledge and dedicate yourself to live for a cause greater than your own private cares and concerns. There is so much more to life than your personal needs and issues. Ask for the fire of God to enlarge your spiritual vision and ignite your heart with His passion and compassion for the peoples of the world.

And it's a wrap! 20 goers came together this evening for our first Fireside Chat. The more intimate setting allowed us to have an interactive dialogue with our missionary guests. We talked about our missions call, and the tension of navigating obedience to God while caring for our loved ones. We also pondered the human tendency to wrestle with self doubt and how to overcome that. It was a fruitful time of learning from one another's faith journey ❤️ thank you to all who came and shared your perspectives with us!

“Idols give us a sense of being in control, and we can locate them by looking at our nightmares. What do we fear the most? What, if we lost it, would make life not worth living? We make “sacrifices” to appease and please our gods, who we believe will protect us.” - Timothy Keller

DID YOU KNOW?

In 1991, Singapore was the number one missionary-sending nation in the world. We sent out a thousand plus missionaries across all the continents.

By 2020, however, the number of missionaries has dropped by half, to about 516.

We cannot accept this status quo.

Every church can become a thriving a seedbed and sender of missionaries. And every believer has a part to play. We cannot sit back. As sons and daughters of Singapore, may we fulfil our Antioch destiny, and live to glorify God who founded us, called us, and blessed us to bless the nations.

At this ANTIOCH SUMMIT,
we will officially launch the Decade of Missions (2023-2033). Come and see how you can play a part in this new initiative.

This missions conference is organised by LoveSingapore in collaboration with FOMOS (Fellowship of Missions Organisations Singapore).
