911: The day that changed the world
The world has come full circle 20 years after the horrific 911 attacks on the US. Once again, we watch with alarm and grief as nations are plunged into crisis. 911 has become synonymous with terror, but we can redeem this date with united prayer and intercession as we call on the God of redemption and mercy together.
Antioch 21, the missions arm of LoveSingapore, invites you to join us in a humble posture of intercession for the nations.

📢 Antioch 21 was officially relaunched on 25th November, 2021 in a special hybrid dedication service held at Church of Our Saviour. Led by Pastor Lawrence Khong, Chairman of LoveSingapore, city pastors and an online audience prayed together and dedicated the movement to the God of the Harvest.
🇸🇬 As the global missions arm of LoveSingapore, Antioch 21 aspires to serve the Body of Christ to see Singapore fulfill her destiny as the Antioch of Asia. We want to build bridges to bring business people, social enterprises and the local church together in joint endeavours to see a church for every people, and to present the gospel to every person.
Joseph Chean serves as the strategic coordinator and he leads a core team comprising mission practitioners from different walks of life, representing diverse missions expressions in the nations.

How do we align our hearts to world missions? Here are the main points from Pastor Lawrence Khong's message to us at the relaunch of Antioch 21.
🌏 We must recognise that God's greatest concern is the salvation of the world. We must recognise the urgency of the hour. We must recognise the vanity of life.
📱Pastor Lawrence ended with a quote from Steve Jobs. This is what Jobs said to Pepsi executive John Sculley to challenge him to join Apple.
"Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water or do you want a chance to change the world?"
❓How about you? What are you giving your life for?

🌏 How shall we know when we have finished the Great Commission? Here are the five finish lines of the Great Commission as Joseph Chean articulated them, during the relaunch service of Antioch 21.
1. The good news will be presented to every person.
2. All people groups shall be reached with the gospel of the kingdom.
3. There shall be a church in every neighbourhood.
4. There shall be a bible for every language.
5. Compassion and justice shall be expressed in every nation.
🙏 Take a few moments now to pray for God's perfect will to be established in each of these five areas. Know anyone involved in any of these arenas of missions? Pray for them to persevere in the race of faith.

For many who feel called to missions, the years of waiting before one goes to the field can be a difficult season to navigate. But we do not have to walk this journey alone.
Antioch 21 has launched the Goer Missions Forum to create a safe space for prospective goers to hold meaningful conversations and encourage one another in our missions adventures!
Close to 200 people from over 70 churches came together for our first such event on 25th January at St Andrew’s Cathedral. It was a wonderful gathering of likeminded people all hungry to learn from one another 🔥
Adjunct Associate Professor Dr. Tan Lai Yong led a devotion on Psalm 84 and shared his rich experiences as a missions practitioner with us. Sarah Chan recounted God’s hand in guiding her to embrace Timor-Leste as her mission field this year. Following that was a lively time of Q&A with Dr. Tan and our panel of speakers from the Antioch 21 taskforce.

The first Antioch Missions Forum gathered 88 missions leaders, representing 39 churches and 17 missions agencies to talk about 3 critical issues:
⛪ How do we mobilise the Church in missions?
🌍 How do we decide on missionary field placements?
🏆 What does success in the mission field look like and how do we measure it?
