Hello everyone, small update on FSE: phones auto-capitalize first letter of a sentence, and tend to auto-replace in:likes by In:likes, breaking the query. Keywords are now case-insensitive, meaning this isn't an issue anymore.

Also, the index hasn't been refreshed for a long time, this has been fixed.

A bug preventing recent Telegram users to sign up on fse.anthro.fr has been fixed. This bug was happening because there are more than 4 billion Telegram users, meaning their IDs need more than 32 bits to be stored.

Telegram has enabled reactions on messages, it will be nice for news here!

As you perhaps have seen on FSE, we are at a stage where I have to migrate to the server I targeted as a goal on Patreon ($65 / mo), despite not being at this amount yet. That being said, the current amount is growing: $53 / mo while writing this message ❤️

I plan to stream my server migration to my patrons during an August weekend, so it is the right time to join if you are curious of the backstage~

I'll open a discussion channel so you can chat and ask any questions you want. I always has been shy about doing that, because I fear it needs a lot of time to manage. Let's try for a time. I may close the channel after a few days and reopen there and there depending on how this experiment is doing.

On FSE home page, before you search for anything, listed stories are the last ones stored by anthro.fr. It is done in order to prevent an "empty look and feel" when arriving on this page, but this isn't very useful. Could something smarter be done? What would you like to see here?

Lot of news these days~~

After some tests, "Most liked stories over pas x months" doesn't work well, we don't have enough data for that.

So for now, the homepage works this way:

- If you are not logged or never liked a story, it is fully random. Selected stories are updated regularly (not at each refresh). You can use the order:id filter to show the recent ones as before.

- if you are logged in and liked at least 1 story, it will list last stories from last authors whose you liked at least 1 story. Kuddos to Red Kitters from providing this idea in the chat! BTW, you can still use the in:likes filter to only find stories you liked.

This is not the last thing I'll build for this homepage management, I'll keep you updated 🚀

A bug occured on e621.anthro.fr when you were connected on fse.anthro.fr (eg. to make use of your favorites)

It is now solved

New feature on fse.anthro.fr: there is now an autocomplete!

It is a bit rough yet and it will be improved over time. I am sure there still are some improper behavior related to this feature, if you spot any please share 🙏 Same if you like it 😁

For privacy reasons, suggestions are only based on tags frequency in stories and not on users' queries.

Hello everyone, here are some new features for FSE!

- new search filter: in:authors. Will only display stories from authors you have already liked. It should behaves the same way as the default homepage when you are logged in. Having a filter to replicate this behavior should allow you to combine it with any search criteria.

- new sorting option: order:random. I believe it is self-explanatory. It should behave the same way as the default homepage when you aren't logged in.

These features lay the foundation for the last one:

- On your settings page, you can now define your homepage query. It defaults to in:authors, so nothing changes if you do nothing. You can use it to customize your experience or as a whitelist.

Fellow readers, can you please test these features to help me identify any potential bugs? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

Small update:

I've removed NSFW keywords autocompletion from stories.anthro.fr (the SFW version of FSE).

This isn't perfect as it is a manual process. At least it should be clean when you type your first character.

Hello patrons, long time no see!

I've developed a tool to recover deleted e621 favorites. If you miss some of your old lost favs, ping me via Patreon DM and/or Telegram, and let's see what can be done! The recovery process isn't perfect (expect about 50% luck per fav), but still better than nothing.

You'll receive a ZIP with your recovered files with filename format artist-year-characters-id.ext, and the tags as EXIF Description.
