why try to long an alt when you can long btc with leverage, the btc d chart is pretty clear, the only directional bet on alts is short

a degenerate answer would be Strategy, but that needs a risk on environment not a risk off one

what alt would outperform in an environment assuming
1. all of crypto decreases in valuations, along with US equities
2. btc.d continues to rise
3. the trade war continues between US and china

in this specific env nothing would outperform imo, maybe extremly manipulated coins

but those coins are just not worth trading
