The #Polish Ministry of National Defence has signed a deal to lease a set of MQ-9A Reaper drones from U.S. manufacturer General Atomics.

The move comes as the ministry is readying to purchase MQ-9B Reapers for the country’s military.

“The contract has a net value of $70.600.000 , and the service will be provided [to Poland] until the Polish Armed Forces acquire and put into use the MQ-9B Reaper unmanned aerial reconnaissance-strike systems,” the ministry’s Armament Agency, the entity responsible for buying weapons and military gear for the country, said in a statement

Economic Commission of West African States and #Guinea military government culminated with an agreement on the period of transition to a civil administration, according to a statement.

The information ensures that the transition to a civil entity will be extended for two years instead of the three proposed by the military government of Colonel Mamady Doumbuya, who overthrew the constitutional president Alpha Condé in September 2021.

India has launched the #Space Defence Mission, a #military space programme to develop innovative solutions for the country’s defence forces through industry and start-ups.

“Space technology is an example of what security will mean for any strong nation in the future,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the annual Defence Expo held in Gandhinagar, in the western Indian state of Gujarat this week.

“Mission Defense Space will not only strengthen the forces but also provide new and innovative solutions.”

Under the programme, India has identified 75 challenges in the space sector for private firms to work on, based on defence requirements in the space domain
