#China claims to have developed a new water-jet (or hydrojet) propulsion system that can provide greater thrust to submarines and reduce noisy vibrations by more than 90%, the South China Morning Post reported on Friday.
Part of the modern submarines have a propeller covered with a hull, which places the rotor in a conduit to generate a jet of water and thus propel the movement.
Between the rotor blades and the inner side of the duct is a free space—usually as little as a millimeter wide—that can produce a lot of turbulence or bubbles.
It is precisely this that slows down many submarines in use today, making them easily detectable.
Engineers from the 701 Institute, based in the Chinese city of Wuhan, claim to have solved this problem.

#France will receive up to 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers to train them in combat methods against Russia and the handling of weapons, according to French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu.
Speaking to Le Parisien newspaper on Saturday, the senior official said the training plan has been approved by President Emmanuel Macron.
The Ukrainian soldiers will be assigned to French units for a several-week course. The training will include three levels: the general combatant course, training in specific fields indicated by the Ukrainians, such as logistics, and a third level of handling the supplied military equipment.
"We do this in accordance with the rules of the law, without ever being in co-belligerence because we are not at war. We are helping a country that is at war," declared the Minister of Defense.
Lecornu mentioned that his country had already provided the kyiv troops with training in the use of French Caesar howitzers, but this time the training will be on a different scale.
France has sent 18 Caesar howitzers and is in the process of supplying six more. Also, surface-to-surface missile deliveries are being considered, he said.
The minister also promised to send Crotale short-range anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine within two months, when the soldiers complete the necessary training.
The number of these systems is still "being defined with the Ukrainians," Lecornu said, adding that "it will be significant in allowing them to defend their skies."
On Wednesday, Macron told France 2 channel that his country will supply kyiv with anti-aircraft systems, radars and missiles, which will arrive "in the coming weeks."

#Morocco has entered the club of drone manufacturers by virtue of the recent deal it concluded with Israel, according to which Morocco will manufacture Israeli war drones.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces would build two factories to produce war drones with Israeli supervision and expertise. This will allow the kingdom to manufacture advanced drones at a low cost compared to those it is currently buying from China and Turkey.
According to the military agreement signed last July between Morocco and Israel, Tel Aviv is committed to transferring the technology for manufacturing drones to Rabat.
With the support of Tel Aviv, these drones will be manufactured at a lower cost at two military bases in Morocco.

Poland is trying stealing Germany’s secret defence technology
Berlin has tacitly accused Poland of stealing its secret defence know-how in the name of helping Ukraine. Tussle breaks out between Germany and Poland. Now, a growing tussle between Germany and Poland can further discourage the German military from helping the war-ravaged nation against Russia. When the war broke out, Germans hesitatingly delivered seven PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers to Kyiv. In June, they went into action. Now, it turns out that the Ukrainian forces ‘over-exploited’ the howitzers. The guns were used and deployed in conditions…

Attempts to influence the country from abroad will fail, #Iran Foreign Ministry
The US will fail in its attempts to incite unrest and meddle in Iran’s domestic affairs, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has said. His statement comes after US President Joe Biden backed the anti-government protests across the Islamic Republic.
Protests and clashes with police erupted last month after a 22-year-old woman named Mahsa Amini died in custody after being detained by Iran’s morality police in Tehran for wearing an “inappropriate” headscarf. Her family claimed that she had been tortured.
Kanaani accused Biden on Saturday of “supporting the riots.”
“Given the fact he neither enjoys trusted advisers nor a good memory, I remind him that Iran is so strong and steadfast that it would not give in to his cruel sanctions and idle threats,” Kanaani said on Saturday, as quoted by Press TV.
The diplomat stated that the Islamic republic “will be unfazed by the interventions and [statements] of a politician tired of the futile campaign against Iran.”
“We will together defend the independence of Iran,” he added.
On Friday, speaking to reporters in Portland, Oregon, Biden called the Iranian government “oppressive” and said he was surprised by “the courage of people and women taking the street.”
“I mean, it’s really been amazing,” Biden said.
The US has already imposed two rounds of sanctions against the Iranian morality police and several officials, including two government ministers, over what it called “violent suppression of peaceful protest.”
At least 240 people have been killed during the protests across Iran, according to the news agency HRANA, which reports on human rights issues.
On Saturday, a fire broke out inside the Evin Prison in Tehran amid the unrest, killing four inmates, the authorities said, blaming “clashes” between inmates for the incident.
The official coroner’s report released last week, meanwhile, said that Amini had fallen into a coma and died from underlying conditions and not from physical violence. An inquiry by Iran’s parliament came to the same conclusion on Sunday. The report also stated that the ambulance could not get to Amini fast enough because of the crowd in front of the morality police’s office.
