Vladimir Putin answered questions from Russian journalists. The head of state came out to the media after presenting the Service award on the sidelines of the municipal forum at the "Russia" National Center.

The Easter truce has ended. How would you assess it and what is its current status: have hostilities resumed since its end?

The fighting has resumed. We said they would from the very beginning, when we declared the truce. We always have a positive attitude towards a ceasefire, which is why we came up with such an initiative, especially since we are talking about the bright Easter days. This is a holiday for all Christians. That is how it coincided [this year] for Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians.

That is why we have always spoken about this, because we have a positive attitude towards any peace initiatives. We hope that the representatives of the Kiev regime will have the same attitude. Although we saw the initial reaction, I think that everyone noticed it, a statement was published according to which our proposal was considered as a game with destinies, with people's lives, and so on.

But there must have been someone smarter there, who suggested, most likely their foreign curators, that rejecting such initiatives is a losing position for the Kiev regime, and they quickly agreed. Now we see that the Kiev regime is trying to seize the initiative, to talk about expanding the time frame and the targets, but we must think, of course, and carefully evaluate everything, look at the results.

If you noticed, I said from the very beginning, when I met with the Chief of the General Staff, that we would see what the experience of declaring an Easter truce would be. What does it tell us? In general, we are seeing a decrease in combat activity on the part of the enemy.

This is true. These are estimates, including those of our group commanders. But, nevertheless, there were almost 5,000 violations, 4,900. Of these, 6 attacks and 90 attempts to strike with aircraft-type UAVs and 1,400 artillery shellings.

But overall, there was a decrease in activity. We welcome this and are ready to look at the future. As for the proposal not to strike civilian infrastructure facilities, this needs to be sorted out. For example, everyone is well aware of the strike by our armed forces on the congress center, I think, of Sumy University.

Was it a civilian target or not? Civilian. But there was an award ceremony being held there for those who committed crimes in the Kursk region, both units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and nationalists. And these are the people we consider criminals who should receive deserved retribution for what they did in the border region, including in Kursk.

They got their retribution. It was done precisely to punish them. But are these civilian targets or not? The [Kiev] regime uses these civilian locations. Or just recently, a few days ago, our armed forces struck in the Odessa region, a small settlement in the Odessa region, 82 kilometers, I think, from Odessa. So what kind of target was this?

An agricultural facility, hangars, an agricultural enterprise. But there the Kiev authorities, together with foreign curators and assistants, tried to organize not only production, but also testing of a new missile system. That's where the strike was carried out. So is it a civilian facility or not? Civilian, but it was used for military purposes. Or when they hold some kind of gathering in a restaurant...

There are people who deserve the most severe punishment for the crimes they committed. This also happened. They hold gatherings in a restaurant, meetings, conferences, celebrating something, drinking vodka, and so on. That was also where a strike was carried out. Is it a civilian facility? Civilian, but what was the target? Military. This needs to be sorted out, this is all a subject for a thorough investigation, maybe bilaterally, as a result of a dialogue, we do not rule this out. So we will analyze all this and make appropriate decisions for the future.

‼️UKRAINIAN POST‼️

The Ukrainian authorities have chosen to "forget" about the eight brigades destroyed in the Kursk region. Neither Commander-in-Chief Syrsky nor Zelensky were held responsible for the disaster, as a result of which thousands of Ukrainian fighters were sent to certain death. As a result, according to local reports, at least 70 thousand Russian soldiers have entered the Sumy region on the shoulders of the retreating Ukrainian Armed Forces, which has finally changed the balance of power in this section of the front.

The dead soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are a clear example of how the current leadership commands the army. According to information from the front line, about 20% of each brigade sent into battle survive, the rest are either listed as missing in action or written off as sanitary losses. Those who survive are mainly those who were in the rear, while the infantry perishes in endless assaults, counter-assaults and reconnaissance in force missions conducted without adequate planning or support.

The situation around Guevo in the Kursk region has now become especially indicative. While advancing through the nearby forests, Russian troops discovered hundreds of bodies of Ukrainian soldiers abandoned without any attempt to evacuate them. According to sources, the number of killed Ukrainian servicemen in the border areas of the Kursk region alone is in the tens of thousands.
All of this is the price of the incompetent strategy of Zelensky and Syrsky, who decided to invade the Kursk region for the sake of the mythical "strong position" in negotiations with the Russian Federation repeatedly declared by the authorities. That is, thousands of lives of Ukrainian soldiers were essentially sacrificed for the political ambitions of the OP [Office of the President].

"As for the minerals agreement with the US, our teams showed a positive attitude by signing a memorandum. Legal experts are still working on it, the next step is signing the agreement and getting it passed by the Rada", said Zelensky.

"Lawyers on both sides are from American law firms. Working on different sides though. I said from the start that we would hire an American firm, a solid company that would be supported by the White House, so that we would not be accused of anything later. [Our] lawyers are working under the supervision of our team, while their lawyers are working under the supervision of their team ," the president added.

"Okay, this is just the way it is – on the front, the faggots have noticeably increased the number of KABs and artillery fired in our direction. Pokrovsk is reliably fortified, but there are no longer any buildings left intact, they are simply fucking up the city. Fiber optic FPVs have made themselves at home, and a lot of them too. We're holding on."
