Syncing data with Health Connect

Fitness apps store activities in a database. Health Connect also stores activities in a database (a different one!). How can activities be synced between the two (including propagating deletes and updates) in a way that is consistent, reliable, and comprehensible to the user?

Foster user trust by adopting privacy-respecting permission workflows

In this talk, we reiterate some big launches in Android permissions over the past few releases, while explaining why we believe in the set of principles above and showcase some of our own Google apps that we believe have adopted these in their own apps to build a better privacy experience for their users. We hope to inspire developers to adopt these best practices and enhance user trust in their app experiences.
