Introducing Talk Forward — a screen reader for Android, built for speed and a gesture set that finally feels natural.

Talk Forward is a fork of TalkBack, reworked from the ground up around how people actually navigate by touch. If you've ever used VoiceOver on iOS, you'll feel at home immediately.

What makes it different:

- iOS-style gestures. Rotate two fingers to use the rotor and switch your reading controls on the fly. Multi-finger swipes move between containers, windows, and elements predictably.
- A configurable voice rotor. Change voices instantly with a gesture, without digging through settings.
- Lower latency. We cut the delays so navigation and scrolling feel immediate, not sluggish.
- A built-in braille keyboard. Type in braille directly on the touchscreen, with a quick iOS-style calibration so the dots land where your fingers naturally rest. It works on devices that register five simultaneous touches as well as those that only register fewer, by splitting six-dot input into two steps.
- In-app updates and a built-in bug reporter. New versions are detected and installed straight from the app, no store required. And if something goes wrong, you can report it from inside Talk Forward in a few taps — we read every report and often reply directly, so your feedback turns into fixes.
- Available in 87 languages, fully translated — including the tutorial and every on-screen instruction.
