"Pregnancy has been indiscriminate of gender throughout history but it is only now being formally recognized," the emoji gatekeepers said in a statement, also insisting "there are intersex men and transmen who get pregnant".
The developers hope the move will help combat discrimination over childcare, and highlight how "one's sex doesn't dictate thee capacity to carry children".

Australian police clash with anti-lockdown protesters after failing to suppress dissent with overwhelming force, threat of arrests
The protesters, who reportedly numbered in the hundreds, showed up in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond on Saturday morning to denounce government lockdown policies. Police previously attempted to shut down all transport into Melbourne’s Central Business District using a series of checkpoints, but that merely prompted organizers to shift locations.
