Deputy Russian Ambassador to the UN Security Council Dmitry Polyansky said that Russia does not recognize the Syrian Golan Heights as part of "Israel".

“Russia does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which are part of Syria,” he said during discussions of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the UN Security Council.

This statement was made a few hours after the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Yair Lapid, supported Ukraine in the conflict in the Donbass, and later in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In 1967, "Israel" occupied the territory called the "Golan Heights", belonging to Syria, and in 1981 annexed it, declaring Syrian territory part of its fictitious state.

In addition, Polyansky addressed the Israeli government using the word "Tel Aviv", which indicates to us that Russia continues not to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of "Israel", considering this Palestinian city the capital of the State of Palestine, while the United States and several countries have recognized Jerusalem is the capital of a Zionist entity that violates all UN conventions and resolutions and other international laws.

Relations between the Israeli occupation entity and Russia are being destroyed right before our eyes, which, frankly, cannot but please me.
