This represents a 0.71% stake in the company and makes Blackrock the second-largest institutional shareholder of the company behind Vanguard Group, Inc., which holds about 4.39% of the company's outstanding stock.

SFM also owns shares of  several other companies in the rail and transportation sector, such as Union Pacific Corporation, Hub Group, Inc., XPO Logistics, Inc., CSX Corporation, Kansas City Southern and C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc.
